A scenic tourist destination in the Gilgit-Baltistan region, Babusar Top experienced an unusual snowfall in June, resulting in colder weather across the area.
According to police officials, Babusar and the surrounding mountainous areas received fresh snowfall, which has never occurred before.
Experts term the snowfall an impact of climate change, as there was extremely hot weather in the months of winter months.
Reports are also receiving about the snowfall in the parts of Swat Kalam valley, Malam Jabba and Spen ghar of Shangla and other areas.
The authorities in Mansehra and Diamar have advised tourists and travelers to avoid traveling on the Babusar road due to safety concerns, as the road has become risky again after snowfall.

The Mansehra administration also issued a notification of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for passengers, transporters while traveling on Naran Jhalkad road towards Babusar.
They asked to avoid moving on the road at night, from 6AM to 6PM in the evening.
